Breast Implant Surgery

Breast Surgery Turkey

During the Surgery

Breast enlargement surgery is usually performed under a general anaesthetic, which means you will be asleep during the operation and feel no pain.

Incisions and Placement

Once the anaesthetic takes effect, your surgeon will make precise incisions, which may be located:

  • In the crease under your breast
  • Around the areola (the darker skin surrounding the nipple)
  • In the armpit

The implants are then carefully inserted through these incisions. Most implants are made of elastic silicone filled with silicone gel. The surgeon may position the implant:

  • Between the breast tissue and the chest muscle
  • Behind the chest muscle
This ensures the most natural look and feel. During surgery, the surgeon carefully considers your breast tissue, areola, nipple, milk ducts, muscles, and ribs to place the implant in the optimal position.

Closing the Incisions

Once the implants are correctly positioned, the incisions are closed with stitches:

  • Dissolvable stitches: disappear naturally within 7–10 days
  • Non-dissolvable stitches: removed about one week after surgery

After closing, dressings are placed over the stitches, and you will wear a supportive bra or compression garment to aid healing. Temporary drains may be used for up to 48 hours after surgery to allow any fluid or blood to drain safely.

After the Surgery

Your surgeon will provide detailed post-operative instructions and follow-up care to ensure proper healing and the best results.

Breast Reduction Surgery (Reduction Mammaplasty)

Effective Relief for Shoulder, Neck, and Back Pain

Breast reduction surgery (Reduction Mammaplasty) is one of the most effective procedures for alleviating shoulder, neck, and back pain caused by large and heavy breasts. For many women, breast reduction provides both aesthetic improvement and a significant increase in quality of life.

How the Surgery Is Performed

Breast reduction surgery is performed under general anesthesia and typically lasts around two hours. Patients are usually advised to stay one night in the clinic for safe early recovery.

During the procedure:
  • The skin is carefully separated from the underlying fatty tissue.
  • Incisions are made from the upper side of the nipple and extended around the areola.
  • The nipple is separated from underlying tissue while preserving the glandular structures responsible for sensation.
  • Excess glandular tissue and skin are removed, creating lighter, proportionate, and naturally lifted breasts.

Personalized Planning & Techniques

Breast reduction is customized for each patient. The procedure’s scope is determined based on breast size, skin elasticity, body proportions, and individual expectations. If needed, the nipple-areola complex can also be resized for a more balanced appearance.

Anchor Technique (Inverted-T): One of the most common techniques. Scars begin at the center of the breast crease, extend vertically to the nipple, and form a circular incision around the areola.

Scar Healing Over Time

  • Areola scars usually fade significantly.
  • Breast crease scars blend naturally into the fold.
  • Vertical scars may remain slightly visible but gradually become softer and lighter.

Most patients report that these scars are barely noticeable under clothing and continue to fade over time.
